I promise not to whine... :o)

Ok 1st up...as promised I will show you pics of my new yumsy laptop...she is a Packard Bell AMD Turion 1.8 64 bit with a gigs worth of ram and a 60gig HDD....no huge shakes as far as the gaming comunity is concerned but by far the fastest machine ive worked on...which is strange cos its even faster than the studio PC... ?! PCs outdate so quickly its madness... :o) and saying that...here is where I spend most of my life...

Oh and yes...that is Robotech on the laptop...dont ask... :oP


Right....the studio has no windows...which sux balls but otherwise its quite cosy.....I spend most of the time staring blanky at those 3 monitors.... :oP

Anyways....

To more current stuff....Saturday nite did not happen....why ??? the guitarist sprained his finger playing action cricket !!! ....now not that I dont feel sympathy for the guy but why not sprain a toe or knee or anything else but his finger on,...his left hand ?!

Anyways...we have practice scheduled for tonight and bar me having to work late, everything "should" go swimmingly...only time will tell I guess...in the interim, Louise and myself have been rehearsing albeit not as heavy as we should but personally I feel we need the band dynamic to get things rolling...no point in getting used to one thing only to change it again in rehearsals.....and that should be tonight tonight tonight...Im fairly excited, can you tell... :oP

I havent spoken about my romantic indulgences of late and as a refresher, its still happening...things have calmed down, im in less panic mode but I still dont think this will ever be serious....dunno if thats what I want or not but no point in rocking a comfortable boat...so I just go with the flow and take it as it comes....

An interesting side note....a mate of mine is going thru one of those dips in singledom, everybody knows it, everybody loaths it and I thought about a Doors track and to quote Jim Morrison ...

People are strange when youre a stranger
Faces look ugly when youre alone
Women seem wicked when youre unwanted
Streets are uneven when youre down

...and its so true....when you are down and out you cant seem to get lower...its all just a state of mind....stop caring about how you feel and instantly life gets better cos you are not concentrating on your woes...im preaching I know and I could be wholly wrong but thinking like this has worked many times for me...hopefully it can help out someone else sometime or another....

The problem is....when you that down and out you generally dont want to listen to advice eiether....a bit of a double edged sword.... :o)...
